Scanning concrete surfaces and structures by GPR Technology
GPR Technology or Ground Penetrating Radar is used for studying cavities, hollow underground spaces, cracks, thickness of layers, various types of landslide and falls….through 3D images which are obtained by sending radio waves into ground for exploring the depth of the land and providing the user with layer- to -layer separation of the soil with contents of each layer.
Applications:
Measurement of cement and concrete layers thickness
Detection of pipes, water canals, installations…that pass inside each structure
Detection of the position of tensile cables and rebar
Preparation of detailed drawings of reinforcement
Performing routine visits to detect cavities and destructions appeared in the structure
